Pirate Ships and Princess Castles

This afternoon I took out a project for the kids to do. I got these modeling clay projects a long time ago at shopko for .89 each. They were regular $9 each!! I thought they would enjoy them but they turned out to be too difficult for the younger kids. Ethan, Grace and Marcus had a good time though! The boys had pirate ships and the girls had princess castles. Of course Grace wanted to do a pirate ship, heaven forbid she want to be involved with anything girly!! That's our Grace!

Here are the boys pirate ships. Ethan's on the left and Emmett's (a.k.a. marcus) on the right. It was funny because every time Marcus would mix a color to make a new color Emmett would take it and mix it with something else. Emmett liked making snakes the best. He had baby snakes and mama snakes and giant daddy snakes!

Here are the girls princess castles they made with the modeling clay. As you can tell, Isabel got tired of the 4 hour project sooner than later. These kit definitely aren't for younger kids!! Even Grace had a hard time at first and she loves playing with clay!
