No Pictures :(

Well, Yesterday we went to Marcus' sisters house for a family dinner. It was pretty fun because the kids could actually play outside!! Yipee!! No more messy houses! haha Anyways, we went on a walk down to the fish hatchery and I always bring my camera because the kids always are doing funny things. We had all of the cousins sitting so cute on this wooden bench and I went to click the picture and there was nothing. I was quite upset and thought that the batteries had just died since they always do at the most convenient times. I was prepared and switched the batteries out to new ones and tried again....nothing!! I was so frustrated because I am not very fond of out camera in the first place! So, I am on the the hunt for a new camera! It is kind of funny because I was just telling Marcus a couple of weeks ago that we should use some of our tax return money to buy a new camera!! I can't really make up my mind about what kind I want though. I want a compact one so it is easier to lug around with all of the kids, but at the same time I have the opportunity to buy a really nice one!! I LOVE taking pictures of the kids and pretty much anything I have the opportunity to take a picture of! I don't want to take forever to find a new camera either because think of all the fun things I will miss out on capturing with the kids!! Anyone have any advice? Yes Shelby, I am talking to you! lol!! Thanks guys!

I use a little Sony Cyber-shot that I carry around in my purse everywhere I go, and it's pretty good. I really love the Canon brand though, and I think I would check into one of their small point and shoot's if you want to be able to carry it around with you.

If you really want a big, nice camera for portrait type stuff, I really love the Canon Digital Rebel XT for about $450 or the XTi is the next step up for a little bit more money. I think the biggest difference is a bigger LCD screen and 10 megapixels instead of 8. You can check Amazon for prices and to compare them.

Either one would be nice to have! Good luck with whatever you decide!

thanks shelby!! there is a nikon and a canon that i have narrowed it down to, but i usually don't have to make these technical sorts of decisions, it is usually marcus' job! haha i'll let you both know what i decide on in the the next day or two!

I've heard the canon rebel is a good one to get also, that's what Shaina has (she has a big nice one, and a smaller more portable one, that she also carried in her purse to catch those "moments"). Good luck, and tell us what you decide, better luck post some pictures with it!
